Measurement of W Boson Properties with the L3 experiment at LEP
Artur Barczyk
Abstract
Since the LEP energy passed the WW production threshold in 1996, a
large amount of data has been collected, enabling precise
determination of a wide range of W boson parameters. These
measurements are a fundamental test of the Standard Model, and pose
constraints on predictions in its undisclosed parts. In this talk,
I'll review the results obtained by the L3 experiment on the
measurement of the WW cross section at centre-of-mass energies between
161 and 202 GeV. The branching ratios of the W boson will also be
presented, as well as the measurement of the W mass and the triple
gauge boson couplings (TGCs).
