The Initial sndirs.dat File



# This file is read by 'sndirs' when creating directories internal to
# the HEPDB datbase files, and by 'snalia' when assigning aliases to
# those directories.
# Each line has up to three fields, separated by spaces or tabs:
#	1) full pathname of the directory in the RZ structure of the
#	   database file.  The '//CDxx' tells it to create the
#	   directory in the 'xx.dbs' database file.
#	2) the alias for the directory.  If the directory contains
#	   copies of a ZEBRA bank, then the 4 character bank name
#	   is to be used as the alias.  The alias is case-insensitive.
#	3) the options to be used when creating the directory.
#	   These are: ' ' default (non-partitioned)
#		      'P' partitioned (to 1000 objects each)
#		      'C' objects are compressed by default.
#		      'F' create a second directory inside the first to
#		          hold the titles format banks, and alias it
#		          by adding 'FMT' to the first alias.
#
# The directory pathname is mandatory, the alias is mandatory for
# directories that will be accessed by the name of the banks that
# they contain, and the option is the default if left out.
#
